About mimimomo...

"mimimomo"  comes from a Cantonese "咪咪摸摸" expression meaning "moving slowly, dawdling and unhurried." In everyday Cantonese, the phrase is not always used positively - It can describe someone working inefficient. But I want to reclaim this idea through ceramics: taking time. It becomes a gentle reminder to move at a calmer pace and allow things to unfold naturally.

In ceramics, this philosophy becomes part of the making process. Clay cannot be rushed - from wedging the clay, to throwing on the wheel, trimming each form, waiting to slowly dry and glazing, every step unfolds in its own time.

Pieces of mimimomo meant to live quietly in everyday routines - holding small dishes, tea, flower or simply bringing a sense of ease to the table.

Beyond objects for daily use, clay also becomes a space for storytelling - where forms grow freely, and sculpture carries stories, moods, and quiet reflections.
